Jane Verrill, Staithes fisherwoman

I had the wonderful opportunity to paint this model dressed as a traditional fisherwoman in Staithes. As if that wasn't exciting enough, Jane descends from a Staithes fishing family, some of whom were painted by Dame Laura Knight and mentioned in her autobiography.
