This small entry way into a beach in Sarasota mesmerized me with the sun casting a beautiful light on the leaves and the sand. There was only a hint of water visible. The sunlit pathway invites you to break through the darkness and roughness of where you are and enter into the lightness and softness of the other side. Soft pastels and pitt pastel pencils on homemade pastel board (fine pumice and gesso on pine board).
