the beautiful legendary in Doroles
When I took a break from school when I was 17-year-old, I visited the city of Dolores, Guatemala. There was a canteen opposite the hotel where I stayed. And There's a woman sitting next to the canteen. Her eyes were gentle, firm and kind, as if she was looking at me. She was wrapped in a blue blanket. leaning on a wooden chair, her body swaying slightly back and forth, and humming a rhymeless song. I was attracted to her and wanted to go up and talk to her. At this time, the owner of the hotel pulled me over to stop me from moving forward. When I asked why, he told the story about her: This woman has been on this street for a long time. Everyone in the street knows her. Her son diagnosed with leukemia a few years ago. In order to raise money for her son's treatment, she took care of the children in the hospital during the day and solicited customers on the street at night. Sometimes drunk people would whip her with a belt ,her screams could make the neighbors awakened abruptly . 2 yeas later her son died of complications caused by leukemia. and that make her lost her mind. After that, she just sat on the street all day long, swaddling in a blanket that she used to wrap him in when he was a child. So I drew it with a little embellishment.
