I enjoy painting nocturne scenes from around my neighborhood in Washington Heights, Manhattan. I utilize my photography skills to take photographs of scenes that I like at night. Here, I felt compelled to capture the clashing lights and forms in this alleyway view that I pass frequently. I typically use gouache on black paper to create my nocturne paintings.
