I enjoy painting nocturne scenes from around my neighborhood in Washington Heights, Manhattan. I utilize my photography skills to take photographs of scenes that I like at night, and I particularly love the challenge of turning that moment into a photo, using gouache paint on black paper. I am fond of trying to convey mood from ordinary scenes, like this bus stop that is just outside Javitz Playground.
