In Full Bloom

Watercolor on Aquabord (clay panel). I was inspired to create this piece when my niece, Giovana, arrived from Portugal to spend three weeks with in at home in February 2022.
The weather was warming up, and Giovana posed for me almost every day in my foyer entryway where the sunlight is beautiful in late winter. It enters through the glass of the door and bathes the entrance. I really wanted to paint that light, because it symbolizes energy to me, it is life; it is hope.
