Abandoned but Not Alone
Windows once filled with light and lace, providing a sense of place - home. Lives moved on. Gone dark inside, yet newly alive in it's woodland embrace - at home.
Typically during the summer, cattle and horses consume the undergrowth on this abandoned property in Helena, Montana. This year the grass is chest high, only adding to the mysterious feel and beauty of the place. I've long wanted to capture this old house on canvas and finally did! Painted with a palette knife.
