The castle during sunrise

On the country side of Uppsala, Sweden, I was given two weeks to emerge myself in teaching impressionism in technique and history. On the first day of class, first day of fall, before sunrise, I headed out to paint. There is a castle on the grounds, and as the sun rose, and washed it glowing warm, this cold blue morning, it spoke to me like the clearest day. The natural unfolding of the universe, always shows up to teach you or reward you, and this was a moment I got to capture as well as I could.
