Soon Underway

This is a plein air painting done exclusively with a palette knife in the commercial boat harbor at Moss Landing several miles north of Monterey, California. While I got ready to paint setting up my equipment several commercial fishing boats were loading their supplies in preparation of the days fishing. Two of them were too quick for me and left before I started painting. This boat was a little slower in their preparation and I was able to complete the painting! Such is the life of a plein air painter, an old one at that!
