Painted during Saint Lucia’s Jazz and Arts Festival. Every day during the festival they have free live performances in the square so I found a picnic table and set up my pochade box one morning before performances had started while people were milling about and relaxing in the shade of the saman tree. The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, the Caribbean’s largest cathedral, is in the background.
