The coconut vendor on our road

I had a trip to India last month and took this picture from a coconut seller lady on our road to paint her later in my studio. This lady, for me, is the epitome of power. Coming from a poor background in India, all the way to independence is a big thing. To me not only she looks powerful, but also very feminine and beautiful. I appreciate her self-esteem more than anything.
I started this painting during my stay in India and finished it in my home studio in The UK.
