The Odd Lions

The Odd Lions
Oil on board.
I was invited to my friend’s garden for a Plein Air painting. Three childhood friends, who are also artists and musicians, live together in this house since many many years. Interestingly there was a clay sun clock with 3 lion-heads in their garden which caught my eyes and symbolically became the centre point of this painting. Hence I named it The Odd Three Lions. Odd may refer to the number 3 or something just not usual.
I started this painting with a 4-hour Plein Air session inside the garden and finished it within few more hours in my studio in a couple of days to let the first layer dry.
