Beautifully Twisted
Beautifully Twisted was painted 100% EnPlein Air during the Frisco Texas competition at Frisco Commons Park in Soft Pastel. I started this painting after work at 5 p.m. and painted until 8:30 I had to pack up and hand it in by about 9 p.m. This painting won an honorable mention at an Enplein air show at The Martin Place Gallery. Here is my poem about this painting.
I went into the woods and chatted with this ancient tree. Here is what he said to me. Listen to my wind brothers, listen to the little wings, I may be old and twisted yet, I still hear the whisperings. My bark is thick, and my roots are deep as I stand next to Corporal Kenneth Jack Hill may he be remembered still 12.23.1950 Korean War Vet.
